Life is a series of transitions, some large, some small. Some transitions are expected (graduating from high school or college), others unexpected (layoff from work), and still others are anticipated but don’t occur (retirement plans destroyed from loss of income, health problems, etc.). Yet all transitions have an impact on our roles, relationships, routines, and assumptions. In this highly interactive workshop based on Dr. Nancy Schlossberg’s “Transition Theory” of career development, attendees will discover a framework that will help them understand transitions that may be occurring in their lives, gain insights into how and why they react to transitions in certain ways, and learn techniques that will help them respond in ways that overcome struggling and lead to thriving.
