Keneka is a single parent who came to AAWDC seeking assistance gaining full-time employment. She had received job offers that she turned down because the pay would not support her family. Keneka worked with her Career Coach to develop a Success Plan that identified the steps she was going to take to reach her goal. Keneka enrolled in and successfully completed Digital Literacy training where she gained knowledge in how to explore the internet and learned more about Microsoft Office program. In April 2023, Keneka landed a position with the Social Security Administration as a full-time Customer Service Representative. Now, she is happy and excited about going to work and providing for her family. Keneka's long-term career goal is to become an IT Analyst while establishing a career with the Federal Government.
