FOR SENIORS:
For some County residents, growing older means having increased concerns about affording basic living expenses expenses many of us take for granted. Anne Arundel County's Senior AIDES program makes a difference in the lives of older, low-income residents by providing them with skills and job training at minimum wage pay.
Interested in sharing your wealth of wisdom and experience in our community? Our Senior AIDES program is seeking mature Anne Arundel County residents for part-time employment in local nonprofit's, faith-based organizations, and government agencies. To participate, individuals must be at least 55 years old, meet income eligibility requirements, and live in Anne Arundel County.
As a Senior AIDE, you will:
- Work for an organization that benefits your community
- Supplement your income
- Work a flexible 20-hour week (at minimum wage) without affecting your monthly Social Security payments
- Share your talents and knowledge
- Learn new skills and receive job training
- Receive support in finding full-time or part-time employment
